Katy Clark MSP has tabled a Motion in Parliament, calling on the Scottish Government to introduce a secondary breast cancer audit, following similar moves from NHS England and the Welsh Government.
The motion is a way for members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) to show their support and put pressure on the Scottish Government to make the same commitment to auditing secondary breast cancer in Scotland, which will improve data collection and help us better understand the needs and experience of people living with the disease.
Without accurate, up-to-date data, it is challenging to plan services which reflect the needs of secondary breast cancer patients or understand where improvements are needed. An audit is therefore essential to securing the changes we need to improve the lives of people living with secondary breast cancer.
We need your help to make sure as many MSPs as possible add their names. Please email your MSPs today and ask them to sign the motion.
We’ve prepared a template email for you to send. All you need to do is enter your details and press “Email Your MSPs”. It will only take a minute.
We have less than two weeks to make our voices heard, so please help us spread the word once you’ve taken action.
