Nearly 5,000 people have backed our calls for the Government to commit funding for breast cancer in their Spending Review. That support has helped us to make the strongest possible case for investment in breast cancer research, diagnosis and care.
The Spending Review was presented on Wednesday the 26th of November. While it included funding for both the NHS and research and development, we are deeply concerned by the lack of clarity as to whether funding will be available for medical research charities. Additionally, the investment for health services falls short of what we have been calling for and know is needed to give people with breast cancer the best chance of survival.
